Payment
A 50% deposit is required on booking.
Full payment is required, including the purchase of any additional images before we deliver any final images to you.
Date and time changes
Date and time changes may be requested by both the client and photographer so long as sufficient notice has been given.
For the client, to change the date a minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required and a new date must be set after a minimum of 7 days.
To change the time, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the agreed shoot time must be given. If the new suggested time is available the shoot can be adjusted or rescheduled for a more suitable date. Rescheduling may incur additional fees.
Weekend bookings
Unfortunately we no longer take weekend bookings.
Shoot day (VERY IMPORTANT!)
Clients may not change their confirmed arrival time on the day of the shoot; if you are late, this will count against your studio time. Please take serious note of this.
An additional hour (R1900p/hr) may be purchased subject to the photographers’ availability.
After the shoot, a proof gallery is sent to the client either the same day or the next unless otherwise agreed on.
Images from the gallery are not to be screenshot by any means.
The average turnaround time for final delivery is between 2-5 working days unless otherwise agreed upon.
Additional images
Additional images are charged at R300 per image.
A very important note to understand is that we do not give away any raw/unedited images. Any additional images must be purchased and will be retouched.
RAW Files
Please note that we do not hand over any RAW files or any kind of unedited images freely. RAW files can be purchased for a fee of R5000. You will then be the owner of these images and they can then be used freely.
Social Media
Selected images by the client as well as any behind-the-scenes images are allowed to be posted on social media by the client and Headshots Johannesburg social media platforms unless otherwise agreed upon.
Use of Images & Consent
By booking a portrait session with Headshots Johannesburg, you consent to the use of the images taken during the session for promotional, marketing, and portfolio purposes by Headshots Johannesburg. This includes, but is not limited to, use on our website, social media channels, printed marketing materials, and in digital communications.
You acknowledge that:
You have been informed that your images may be used publicly.
You understand that this consent is voluntary and forms part of your agreement to proceed with the session.
You may withdraw consent in writing at any time, but this will not affect any lawful use of images already published prior to withdrawal.
By confirming your booking, you provide explicit consent for the above.
Cancellations and refund policy
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session or on the same day will forfeit the full deposit.
Rescheduling within 24 hours is subject to the photographer’s availability and may incur a rescheduling fee of R1,500.
Full Cancellations within 24 hours = 0% deposit refund
Full Cancellations within 48 hours = 50% deposit refund
Full Cancellations within 72 hours = 100% deposit refund
Emergencies affecting the session:
If either the client or the photographer is unable to attend the session due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control (e.g., severe illness, accident, other emergencies), the affected party must notify the other as soon as possible.
In such cases, the session will be rescheduled at the earliest mutually available date, without penalty to either party.
Deposits paid will be carried forward to the rescheduled session.
If a session cannot be rescheduled within a reasonable period, a full refund of the deposit will be issued to the client.
